Organic browse traffic and paid search credit on store listings

Paid search on store keywords can look strong if organic brand browse is left unmarked. Users who already intended to install may still click a paid result, and the paid column inherits credit that belonged to reputation built over months.

We ask clients to keep a simple split: branded organic, non-brand organic, paid exact, and paid broad. Even a rough weekly sheet is enough to see whether paid spend is creating new demand or harvesting demand that already existed.

When a listing screenshot refresh coincides with a paid push, wait one full attribution window before declaring the creative the winner. Listing changes and paid bursts interact; attribution work is often about sequencing those moments rather than declaring a single cause.
